I write about Wall Street for Bloomberg Businessweek. I joined the magazine in 2012 from Newsweek, where I was a senior business writer. Before that, I wrote the weekly “Off The Record” media column for The New York Observer. I also worked for Newsweek from 2005 to 2010, covering the 2008 presidential election and contributing to the magazine’s best-selling book “A Long Time Coming.” I co-founded the blog IvyGate, for which I am sorry. In 2005 I graduated from Columbia University, where I was editor-in-chief of the Columbia Daily Spectator.

I grew up in Virginia and live in Brooklyn Heights with my wife, Eliza Gray.
